Hi, I’m Ella Davis, the artist and founder behind Peony and Paper Studios. At 23, I’m lucky to call Portland, Maine, home—a place that constantly inspires me with its coastal beauty and vibrant arts community. I’ve always had a love for watercolor and storytelling, and custom stationery has become the perfect way to bring those passions together.

I grew up in Bar Harbor, Maine, with Acadia National Park as my backyard. From a young age, I found myself drawn to creativity; art classes were my favorite, and I explored every medium I could in High School—photography, architecture, ceramics, sculpture, murals, and more. Over those four years, my creativity blossomed as I experimented with each new challenge.

After high school, I pursued another love—language and culture—at the University of New Hampshire, where I majored in Italian Studies. Studying abroad in Florence, Italy, was a dream come true, immersing myself in a rich world of art, history, and creative inspiration from a new perspective.

Back in Maine, I decided to return to my roots in art. For as long as I can remember, I’ve been creating custom cards for friends and family, tailoring each one to their unique interests. Their encouragement led me to finally make it official and turn my hobby into a business.

Now, with Peony and Paper Studios, I’m thrilled to create something meaningful and memorable for you.
